The 2024 Cento – The Third Generation of the MF100 E-VTOL
The 2024 MightFly Cento introduces a sleek design for enhanced operational efficiency, capable of adapting to diverse payload center of gravity requirements. Notable features include autonomous center of gravity determination, a spacious cargo bay, and a tandem wing design facilitating optimal trim of the aircraft center of lift. The use of structural conductors enhances reliability and reduces weight, while a composite structure reduces empty weight, increasing payload capacity. A modular design streamlines maintenance, and the use of canards as landing gear lowers drag, improving overall efficiency.
Operational efficiency is further amplified by MightyFly’s Autonomous Load Mastering System (ALMS). The ALMS component enables the aircraft to autonomously manage cargo operations, from opening and closing the cargo bay door to receiving and ejecting packages. Internal positioning and locking systems autonomously move and secure packages, sensing and computing weight and balance without operator intervention. This innovation minimizes ground operation resources, aligning with the U.S. Air Force’s autonomous aerial logistics needs.
The Cento’s versatility shines through its ability to accommodate a wide range of payload center of gravity, setting it apart in cargo aircraft technology. This flexibility allows for variance in cargo contents, densities, constitutions, loading order, and tie-down positions, establishing it as a competitive force in the market.

MightyFly’s commitment to efficiency extends to the enlarged cargo bay, surpassing its second-generation predecessor. Based on extensive market research, the design optimizes the number of packages for the 100-pound payload capability. This expanded cargo space allows for the delivery of larger packages, including specialized shipments like cooler boxes for organ transplantation and blood bags. The Cento is poised to revolutionize industries spanning logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, automotive, and oil and gas, as well as supporting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts and government defense logistics.

Test Scheduled Later this Year
Having concluded production in January 2024, MightyFly will commence aircraft qualification tests in February, following a meticulously crafted test plan. In the fall of 2024, the company plans to publicly debut autonomous cargo aircraft delivery flights in Michigan, showcasing point-to-point autonomous delivery use cases. Additionally, autonomous loading, unloading, and balancing of packages will be demonstrated to the U.S. Air Force in early 2025, alongside other Proof of Concept programs, solidifying MightyFly’s commitment to reshaping the future of autonomous cargo logistics.
